From Green CofC, the College's sustainability club on campus

Food Week from Tuesday October 16th to Wednesday October 24th in order to promote the social, economic, and environmental benefits of local food for the College, the Charleston community, and beyond.

On Tuesday October 16th, we will be hosting a documentary night in the New Science auditorium at 7pm.

On Thursday October 18th, Queen Quet, the Chieftess of the Gullah- Geeche nation will be giving a lecture pertaining to food security and the cultural significance of food to the Lowcountry in Stern Ballroom at 4pm. There will be snacks

On Monday the 22nd, Green CofC and some other school groups will be hosting a potluck and discussion around Foer's book and his talk the next day, at 6pm behind the library.

And finally, on Wednesday October 24th we will be hosting a benefit dinner on campus using all locally sourced ingredients in order to promote and educate the College community about the many benefits of local sourcing. Tickets are $10 and all money will go to Fields to Families a local non profit that provides healthy food options to low income Charleston families.
